Who we are
Actium Studio is operated by Actium Studio, a British Columbia corporation. The data controller is Actium Studio Contact for privacy matters: [email protected].
What we collect
Account data. Name and work email, managed by Clerk (our identity provider). Used to authenticate you and deliver service notifications.
Content and workflow data. The articles, content types, workflow states, and specialist-assignment records you create inside Studio. This data is yours; we are a processor on your behalf.
Usage telemetry. Page views, feature interactions, API call counts. Used to operate and improve the service. Not sold; not shared with advertising partners.
Contact form submissions. Name, email, and message. Stored for correspondence.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on the marketing site to understand aggregate usage patterns. GA4 may set cookies. We do not share GA4 data with third parties for advertising.
What we do not collect
We do not collect payment-card data (Stripe handles that; we store only a customer ID token). We do not run advertising trackers on the product. We do not sell or rent personal data.
Why we collect it
Account data: authentication and service delivery. Content data: operating the CMS on your behalf. Telemetry: platform health and product improvement. Contact data: responding to your request.
Sub-processors
We rely on: Clerk (identity), Google Cloud Platform (compute and storage, Canadian-preferred regions), Resend (transactional email), Stripe (billing), Google Analytics (aggregate web analytics). Each sub-processor acts under a data-processing agreement.
Retention
Account data: duration of subscription plus 90 days for billing reconciliation. Content data: governed by your workspace retention settings; on cancellation, exportable for 60 days, then deleted. Telemetry aggregates: 24 months. Contact form data: 3 years.
Your rights
You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data by emailing [email protected] with subject "Privacy request." We respond within 30 days. EU residents (GDPR), California residents (CCPA/CPRA), and Canadian residents (PIPEDA) have additional rights; we honor all of them.
International transfers
Customer data is processed primarily in Canada and the United States. Transfers outside Canada are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions where applicable.
Changes to this policy
Material changes are announced in the product changelog and emailed to workspace admins at least 30 days before the effective date. The "last updated" date above reflects the current revision.
